About Early Childhood Innovative Connections

The mission of Early Childhood Innovative Connections, a 501(c)(3)shared services alliance, is to strengthen the delivery of impactful early childhood education through localized partnerships and shared resources to maximize the quality and efficiency of independent programs.

Early Childhood Innovative Connections was founded in the summer of 2012 by a group of dedicated early childhood education professionals in northern Lancaster County. Through informal and team-building networking, the leaders of a number of early childhood centers began exploring the idea of working together. They thought that by sharing resources, best practices, administrative tasks and other common needs they could strengthen their organizations and give children and parents an even better experience.

The group began exploring the idea of creating a shared services alliance, and officially launched the ECIC organization soon after as a program of Diamond Street Early Childhood Center in Akron.

In 2014, Directors of 10 local programs opted to recruit a Board of Directors and incorporate to form the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Early Childhood Innovative Connections.  Today, this shared services alliance continues to grow and welcome new member programs who see the strengths in working collaboratively.

Our Board of Directors includes seven members of the business and early learning community who are committed to making time, talent, and financial commitments to support our mission.

The 2017-2018 Board of Directors is:

Chair: Gerald Meck, North Group Consultants
Vice-chair: Adrian Young, Ambassador Advisors
Secretary: Rose Ann Sinkowsky, Retired School District of Lancaster
Treasurer: Michael Winter, Controller, The York Water Company
Donna Wennerholt, PA Key, Berks IU
Rose Snyder, PennAEYC
Christina Dimitriou, Early Head Start/Child Care Partnership Coordinator

Our Advisory Committee, made up of volunteer early childhood program Directors from our member programs, meets monthly to shape the services and benefits of ECIC.  Many networking opportunities exist for Directors and early learning staff of member programs, and professional and business development opportunities are created with their input.

By bringing together like-minded educators, administrators, businesses and other organizations with a goal of helping get our kids off to a great start, we build connections and share resources that really do make a difference in the lives of our next generation.
